A training course on “Healthy Eating and Safe Food Preparation for schoolchildren” had been organized for food service providers within the context of a MRC funded project- EVALUATION OF THE DAILY LUNCH PROVIDED UNDER THE ERADICATION OF ABSOLUTE POVERTY (EAP) PROGRAMME. This project is jointly carried out by Assoc. Prof. D. Goburdhun (in Red) of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mauritius and Mrs S. Kistamah, Director of the Early Childhood Care and Education Authority. 22 participants attended this 6-hour course which was held on the 26th July 2011 at the Faculty.. The certificate award ceremony was held on the 25th August 2011 in the presence of the Dean, Assoc Prof Driver (in Black attire).
